So the summer league went on. We have so many CBGM people going head-to-head now. It’s great!

Semi-Final #1: Orlando Magic vs Cleveland Cavaliers

Big game from Marques Rhodes out of (Baylor). He was the best player on the court as well as Richard Richardson (UConn).

In a losing effort, Refet Raif (Syracuse) did his best to try and keep the Cleveland Cavs in the game.

Rob Spurgeon (Marquette) had a really efficient performance off the bench.

Semi-Final #2: Chicago Bulls and Philadelphia 76ers

Wow. Kareem Polite (VCU) off the bench just went off! 25 pts to get the 76ers back into the finals of the Summer League for a second time.

Ryan Hightower (Notre Dame) was the Bulls other best player. Put up some big numbers with 34 pts.

Justin Madsen (Villanova) the Bulls top pick in the draft only put up 8 pts. Deshawn Marquette (Arkansas) a top 5 pick in last year’s draft put up a nice 20 pts.

Final: Orlando Magic vs Philadelphia 76ers

The Magic win it all! With Richard Richardson (UConn) as their best player.

Deshawn Marquardt (Arkansas) who helped the 76ers in last years summer league, wasn’t able to win it in back to back seasons. Lenny Wrenn (Syracuse) played great too.

Brooks Chatman (Oregon) who was the 2nd overall pick once upon a time, had a decent game.
