📄 The Century Scorers Club for 2045 Season
Welcome to the Century Scorers Club. Where we showcase the players who reach the ultimate scoring rating. 100.
In the past when we’ve seen 100 rating talents like Jo Jo Crowell, Rasheed Plowman, Corey Jordan, Kam Owens, Donald Caron, Elton Kaminski, Phillip Chappell, Laron Dickens, Jamie Stewart, Chico Delea, Marco Logan, Kyle Bragg, Justin Sykes, Joshua Hudson, Howard Barr, Kurt Sylla, Damon Mills, Ernie Campbell or Dan McRae.
It’s … NO players!
Let’s introduce the player this season closest to 100 anyhow .. at 98
Warren Arndt — Louisville — Forward (#41) — 6’10”, 227
Arndt walks in as a ready-made scoring forward with two immediate carry traits: elite interior finishing and elite rebounding. Louisville is getting a 6’10” freshman who can win possessions on both ends, punish the rim, and still step out enough to keep defenses honest. His shot profile is unusually balanced for a big forward, with heavy post/midrange usage and enough outside touch that he is not just a paint-bound finisher.
The upside swing is the inside-out scoring package. Inside 100, Scoring 98, Outside 80, and Free Throws 92 is a serious offensive foundation. That means he can finish through size, make teams pay if they foul him, and stretch a matchup when slower bigs sit in the lane. Add 95 offensive rebounding and 95 defensive rebounding, and he is not just a scorer — he is a possession extender and possession finisher.
The “how good, how fast” question is the control layer. Ball Handling 22 is a major limiter, and the decision profile is still raw with Court IQ 45 and Discipline 45. Translation: he can dominate when the game is simplified for him, but asking him to create off the bounce or read traffic like a wing could turn into loose possessions quickly.
Best early role: featured frontcourt scorer in structured touches — post seals, duck-ins, short rolls, pick-and-pop looks, and offensive-glass work. Let him be a powerful finishing hub, not a freelance face-up creator yet.
..
Honorable mention to Lester Melton at 92 from Maryland.
Predictions on stats anyone? Good luck this CBGM Season.
