πŸ“„ 2035 Dance Partners, Building a Better Bracket w/ EC Hood: Part 4 Mar 11th

With just two sims left before Selection Sunday, it’s time for another Dance Partners bracket. Since the last sim, some interesting results have shaken things up a bit around the edges. Neutral-court Big East Tournament wins for Xavier (over Georgetown) and Villanova (over DePaul) have necessitated a swap at the bubble. Xavier and Villanova are now in; DePaul and Georgetown are on the outside looking in.

Meanwhile, despite losing the WCC title game to BYU, Santa Clara sneaks in thanks to its semifinal win over Saint Mary’s. BYU took out Loyola Marymount, Gonzaga and Santa Clara en route to a surprise WCC title and 13 seed in this bracket. Notre Dame, Colorado or Oregon winning their league titles could put a No. 1 seed for Saint Mary’s in jeopardy.

Texas A&M rises to a 3 seed thanks to a 78-54 win over Missouri in the SEC semis and could really solidify itself with a win over Florida in the title game.

The Big 12 semifinal results could shake things up even more in the next sim. Baylor takes on Kansas State and Texas meets Kansas.

Miami (FL), the ACC’s 7 seed, knocked off #2 Louisville, and is now worth monitoring as a spoiler as it heads into a semifinal matchup with Syracuse.

Richmond has made a shocking run to the A-10 championship game despite entering the tournament as the 15 seed. The Spiders’ win over La Salle could NIT for the Explorers. La Salle is one of the Last Four Out in this bracket. If Richmond upsets Rhode Island, even more bubbles will burst.

IN GAME DATE: Mar 11th

EC Hood

EC Hood recently joined CBGM after many years playing DDSCB solo and running alt-history postseason tournaments using spreadsheets and Tournament Maker. When not dreaming of an editable bracket in the game and/or annoying Gary Gorski with the request, EC is the CBGM head coach of Rhode Island. For awhile in the real world, he was a stats/PR guy at several NCAA Division I college athletic departments.
