π 2043 Dance Partners, Building a Better Bracket w/ EC Hood: Part 1 Jan 30th
Dance Partners, Building a Better Bracket. A bracketology presentation by EC Hood
Weβre sneaking in one sim ahead of the Bubble Watch debut in the game for the first Dance Partners Bracketology of the 2042-43 CBGM season.
It goes without saying that major changes to what you see here are bound to happen, even within one sim. With a little over a month left in the regular season, though, we have a decent sample size. The seeding might be a bit harder at this point, but the overall field is coming into focus.
North Carolina is my overall No. 1 seed as the Tar Heels are the first team to hit 20 wins, against only one loss no less. The ACC, however, boasts only four teams in the dance, and only three sure things. Louisville is one of the last six in, while NC State, Miami, Pittsburgh and Georgia Tech linger on the wrong side of the bubble, for now.
The Big 12, Big Ten and SEC all lead the way with eight bids apiece.
VCU, on the strength of its No. 2 NET ranking, is the 1 seed in the West. Baylor (19-3) and Wichita State (19-3) have snagged the other two top seeds.
Teams having somewhat surprising seasons so far include Stanford, Penn State, Vanderbilt, Utah State, Charlotte, South Florida and App State.
Lots can happen the rest of the way. Good luck in the final month!
