📄 Preview: Championship Bout (Xavier & Memphis) (S21)
We’ve arrived at our destination. The road has collapsed on everyone else. It’s the Championship Game. A chance to strike gold and be placed on the website in championship lore. The chance to at least be congratulated by me, the commissioner (Chris), even if nobody else wants to see you at the top of the perch.
So who’s here? Well we have Memphis Dave & Vikesfan going head to head. Both teams knocked off huge players in the CBGM world. Xavier slashing and burning the projected winning Iowa State Cyclones. While Memphis Dave and the team full of Senior leadership, continues to break teams down by the end of the game.
Wooooo, let’s get to it.
Matchup

Memphis Tigers, AAC

Final thoughts…
It was great watching and seeing how Xavier and Memphis played in their final four games. Xavier’s zone gave Iowa’s bigs lots of trouble. They weren’t able to shoot their way out. This seems like a good formula against Memphis’ best player, Emaneul in the post. Cotton looks to be ready to shoot and win or die on his streakyness for Memphis. As for Xavier, they have an exploit at small forward with Harris. Will his inexperience cost him against the seniors of Memphis? We will see!!!
