 πŸ“„ NBGM Trade Deadline: Moving CBGM’ers (S31)

It’s the NBGM trade deadline. We are seeing every year more activity of the CBGM players. NBGM teams are looking to make moves to find pieces for their team. Move draft picks or get out of bad contracts.

Let’s take a look at some of the CBGM names moving around…

Notable Trades

In all honesty, this is a crazy deal. Mostly because Johnny Holloway (Kentucky) has been a proven star for Miami. Year after year.

Then they decide to make a swap, at the exact same position. They seem to like what Archibald Boyd (Oregon) has to offer. They sweetened the deal with a couple of draft picks to get the Pistons to budget.

Boyd is 24 while Holloway is 26. Not much difference at all when it comes to contracts but Boyd is signed for an additional year.

The Marcus Waddell (Louisville) and Terrance Williams (Notre Dame) teammate bromance is over. Rivals in the ACC, while Williams won a title being hurt. Thoughts were these two would really be a dynamic duo for the Warriors.

Clippers wanted to get a piece of Waddell to carry their franchise. They were willing to give their top first round pick this season. Including an undrafted William Moseley from Butler.

Latrell Leal (Duke) is a sleeper in this trade. A first round draft pick at #20 overall, his ratings are improving season over season.

This is an interesting trade if it happened in real life. Neither player is a CBGM’er but as they both age in the league, SGA now 32 and Antman at 29, it’ll be their first new teams in their NBGM careers.

Some might remember Ivan Tatum (North Carolina) as a highly touted prospect. It turns out that Detroit and Miami wanted to make ANOTHER move. This time with Tatum joining his teammate Archibald Boyd in Miami. Detroit adds another pick in this one.

Plenty of other trades, some big, some small, be sure to check out the transactions linkΒ https://cbgm.news/nbgm/Transactions.html
